To finish, spread the “frosting” on top and around the sides of the cake, just like frosting a regular cake. I prefer using plain white bread without crust for this recipe. However, if you’re unable to find bread without crust, regular sandwich bread will work too. Simply remove the crust by cutting off the edges. To determine the size of the cake, place the bread slices on a tray and adjust accordingly. If you prefer a round cake, use a plate as a guide and cut the bread before assembling the cake.
