Homemade Caesar Salad

Homemade Caesar Salad- Make This Classic Salad From Scratch

Creating a crispy and irresistible homemade Caesar salad is as simple as can be.

Take some fresh romaine lettuce, tender chicken, and blend it harmoniously with your homemade Caesar dressing. To enhance the experience, crown it with croutons and a sprinkle of coarsely grated Parmesan cheese. While a basic approach includes pre-cooked chicken and store-bought dressing, the unparalleled delight lies in crafting it from scratch.

Mastering the Chicken

Achieving the desired soft, juicy, and tender chicken is the first step.

1: Season and Sear Begin by seasoning the chicken fillet, then sear it in a frying pan for 4-5 minutes on each side.

2: Oven Perfection Transition to baking it in the oven for 15-17 minutes, contingent on the fillet’s size.

3: Rest and Slice Post-baking, cover the fillets with aluminum foil, allowing them to rest for 10 minutes. This crucial step ensures optimum tenderness. Afterward, slice the fillet for assembly.

Creating the Perfect Croutons

Crafting homemade croutons is remarkably easy, adding a delightful crunch to your salad.

Step 1: Preheat and Cube Preheat the oven to 180°C. Utilize any bread of your choice, slicing it into consistent cubes for even baking.

Step 2: Season and Spread Lay the bread cubes in a single layer on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Drizzle them with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, and a hint of garlic powder.

Step 3: Bake to Golden Perfection Mix the seasonings thoroughly using your hands. Bake until the cubes turn golden and achieve the desired crispiness, typically 10-15 minutes. Your delectable homemade croutons can be stored in a sealed container for up to two weeks.
